I seem to recall someone mentioning a while back that ebay was releasing their API (or something) that would allow 3rd-party developers to create new and better applications for searching and bidding on ebay auctions.

Has anyone heard anything about this? I'd love to have the ability to better customize my searches.

The only program I ever heard of relating to ebay is a sniper program that will bid for you on late night endings while you sleep instead of having to get up and hash it out with other snipers.
