Since I'm fairly new to the forum, figured I won't get into as much controversy w/the higher ups for posing my question here -

I have a few different proof sets and would appreciate an educated guess from senior members as far as pricing them is concerned.

The complete 1986-2011 U.S. Mint ASE proof set + three gaded ASE's (2009 UNC. PCGS 70, 2006 Reverse Proof NGC 69/2006 UNC. NGC 69) total of 28 coins.

The 1983-1997 U.S. Mint Prestige proof sets (14 sets, 92 coins) - all original packaging

2005-2008 U.S. Mint Legacy proof sets (4 sets, 56 coins) - all original packaging + the 2009 Lincoln Chronicles proof set.

1952-2011 U.S. Mint proof sets (only the '53 - brilliant - in Capital holder, rest are all original packaging).

Anyone care to take the time to venture some realistic figures? I totally realize that it will be ballpark amount/s, but willing to entertain all serious figures before considering my final sale prices on these great sets. Thanks for your time & much appreciated.

Thanks, thats a start - but no silver American Eagles listed - will delve into that site a bit further.

Oh, almost forgot - also have the complete silver proof sets 1992-2011 to research . . .

The numismedia site is good for retail pricing. The silver eagles are on there but it is a little hidden. What a dealer would give you is another story.

Dealer pricing would vary a lot depending on what they were looking for etc. Proof eagles are typically in the 55 to 60 range. UNC eagles melt + 1-$3 depending. Silver proof sets are about 50 to 60. 53-56 proof sets are worth more than silver. 57 - 64 are a little over silver.

Hope that helps you on the right path. The amounts I listed are not full retail.
Rest in Peace

I love those reverse proofs! That'll get you a couple of hundred plus...the early (52/53)proof sets go in the high $200's. The modern (post silver) proof sets are really not worth much.

I find the best way to find out what the REAL price is rather than a static catalog price is to search ebay "completed listings" for the item in question.
