MS61. Funky snake bite holes on the shoulder of the Buff on the reverse. Couple of dark splotches on the obverse. Verdigris on the obverse rim. Toning is odd. Have seen others with this toning that grade....but probably would come back as artificial toning/color.

Pleasant coin to look at. REALLY nice reverse die. Lots of detail on the hair of the Buff's head.

In my opinion it has AU50 details but uncertain on luster because of the artificial toning on it. Maybe EF45 with a notation about the altered toning.

Wonder why somebody would even try to give a nickel a silver sulfide looking tone. :)

Looks really nice to me, AU55, for possible wear on the hair braid and the buffalo shoulder.

I'm in the minority on this one since I'll say about AU-58 to MS-60. For a coin that is about 96 years old, full horn, lots of details on the feathers on the obverse, I'd say really nice. I don't like toning on any coin though.
Care to share the price on this one?

IMHO, this coin's an MS-63+, but the spots and possibly artificial toning might warrant 58/60 money. I see no wear or marks, a split tail and uniform sharpness of strike.
Rest in Peace

It may or may not be AT and could better be adjudged with coin in hand. IMHO, artificial toning is a possibility, given the pic. This coin might have spent an extended period of time in a mylar flip or other surface-contaminating environment.
