I'm an American who has lived in Perth for 6 months. I finally got around to seeing some coins today at the ANDA show here. I have to say dealers are dealers all over the World. That said, they consistently grade one step higher over here (in my opinion). For the record, I'm only basing this on US coins I saw as that is where I have more eye experience.

I'm slowly going to wade into the Aussie coin market but for sure am going to start looking for some Goose Dollars. :) Nice.

Hi James & to CCF.
I actually see it the other way round.
Dealers will most times grade a little highly but if you look around you will find a lot of honest graders.
There will always be over graders no matter what country.
Hope your enjoying Australia & good luck with the Goose Dollars, they are achieving pretty high prices.

Apple,

I'm sure you are right. I will give it more time. Regarding, Goose Dollars have they recently started to move or have they been consistently pricing higher? I'd hate to be at the tail end of a fad but they sure are pretty.

Have a look at the first 3 on this list Jamie( the rest are rubbish )6 months ago maybe a little more they were going for$1500 to $1800 for the UNC & $2250 or there abouts for the Proof so their consistently gaining over the last couple of years.
