Hi everyone, Just like some advice on the grade of this coin. By comparison to other graded coins I'm guessing maybe F. Thanks

Hi Username, Unfortunately this coin is very very worn & would only grade VG or even just good sorry, still worth about $11.50 bullion value though.

Heres a site to compare your coin against http://www.anda.com.au/documents/re...%20coins.pdfThe king's head has a lot of wear on it from the site that would be VG That's why I don't believe in giving coins grades. If you sold that as F with a grade people wouldn't be happy. Looks like its had a cleaning too. It's a fill in coin I can buy these in great condition for $10 with a detailed king's head with no wear and the date has no wear on it too. They sell on ebay in your condition for $10 - $13 I might have to go back to the coin dude at our coin fair in a few months and buy all his florins, although I did get his Best parliament house coin he had. He was really nice to me I got 4x 1946 florins in good nic for "get this" $2.50ea :) he he I love a bargain

I don't think I have ever seen a parliament house florin that worn. aVG is about the best it can be. Most of these are found in f-VF at least

I have a album of florins which I call the grave yard collection , I am still quiet attached to some of my old dead florins , as they were from my original collection when I was young fella .They do bring back memories for me. Your canberra florin still has a bit a life in him and you never know the price of silver bullion might take off. and you will be .

Yeah trout they are F grade & the F does'nt stand for Fine. I probably should have put about half of the ones I've got in the bullion lot I'm selling but I could'nt part with them because they have so much character, just think the places that those coins have been & the miles they have travelled & what they bought etc etc. I may reconsider if Silver sky rocket though.
