At the moment this coin fills a spot in my Canadian 5 cent collection in the space designated for 1885 large 5/5, I was hoping that one of the many friendly and intelligent coin community members could quash or confirm the placing of this coin.

coin appears to be Narrow Date L5 / L5
Can you please post a sharper and better Image of the 5, in more detail?
check for: repunched 1/1 8/8/3 an wide oval 8 / wide 8
