I recently came across a quarter that on the eagle side has no stamp of United States Of America or Quarter Dollar around the edges. I told my friend I would try to find out any info on this. Could someone help me?

what is on the other side. is it a really worn coin or does it have good detail left. posting a picture would help and I sure some one will be able to answer quickly if you do

its a friend of my wife that is in possession of it so I don't know all the details yet. she is going to get a picture of it later but mentioned that the coin is rather worn.
