I have no idea what caaused this but it appears to be lincons bow tie. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am not an expert or anything but wouldn't there be some part of the coin where there would be less die present? that looks like a pertty big chunk.

No premium but still kinda neat. I keep odd ball stuff like that sometimes if its that noticeable.

Even though there is no premium on the coin, I do collect them. I think they are worthwhile to save, if it is significant enough. I guess if you look through thousands of coins each month, you'll find a ton and then they aren't worth saving, except the really big ones.

It looks like die damage, specifically an irregular die dent.
Error coin writer and researcher.

And there are more than a few collectors of chip and gouges. I know of a collector that regularly buys them. Not at huge premiums, but premiums nonetheless.
