2005 Oregon State Quarter With Ridge

Hello! I have no idea at all about coin collecting. I found this quarter the other day, and was just curious as to what would cause this, and if it's worth more then 25 cents. There is a prominent ridge around the portrait. Just to clarify, it doesn't seem to be a scratch. It actually appears to stick out above the surrounding areas, like excess material. I've never seen this before, but then again, I've never really looked..lol. Please take a look at the attached pictures, and let me know what you think. Thank you

to CCF! Rolling Machine Damage. It is always parallel to the rim and circular. It is damage caused after the coin left the mint.
