Does anyone else ever feel *disappointed* when getting coin rolls? My banks almost always give me ones that are short or loaded with foreign coins.

I wonder if anyone else deals with that as well. I mean, I figure others do.. but does it happen as frequently to you as it does to me?

So, anyway, I was going through 10 nickel rolls I picked up from Chase. I got over the fact that each roll was short about 3 nickels and then found the following:

1 Canada 5 cents
1 Singapore 20 cents
1943 P
1942 P
1943 P (yes a second one)
1939 (my oldest find ever!)
1954
and a number of 1961/2/6

That seems like an unusual amount of older coins to find in just $20 worth of nickels. What do you all think? (Not that I'm complaining about that part :])

Maybe you could consider starting a dark side collection, just for fun. It would be interesting to see how many you could acquire this way.

The shorted rolls are inexcusable. At least you are finding some silver in them.

Whenever that happens I open 1-3 rolls in front of the teller so that they don't try that on me again. They have to be on their game, too. I hate finding foreign coins in circulation because that means people are trying to cheat.

p.s. While doing laundry today I found a 10 pence coin in the reject slot where a Canadian quarter should've been. Case in point.
