I went to the local coin show, bought a $1 gold coin for my collection, and picked this 1929 $20 National Currency from Atlanta, Georgia. I live in Metro Atlanta, so I was glad to finally find one.   |

WOW! Great twenty. Not quite crisp unc, but really nice. I've never seen one. Well I've never really looked but it is neat, thanks for sharing.  |

I used to live just outside of Atlanta, Douglasville.
So nice, the the rings of water and centennial park. Boy do I miss Atlanta!

I had a 1929 national currency $20 when I was a kid. I probably spent it some time along the way.  |

Its fairly crisp, no folds, and only one mark. The scans aren't great.  Quote:

The large notes were more than I wanted to spend for a novelty for me, but he was selling the small notes for $75. I got the $20 and left the $10's for someone else. FYI - I was there looking at $1 and $3 gold coins, so I was happy with $75. Edited by Fuzzy317

That is cool you got one from your area that you live in.
Pretty wild signatures, at the bottom, with those lines from their names.
Looks like a paper clip stain under the top right serial #.
