It has some of the markers for the KF-L2-DDO
ie the crack through the motto and the Crack on the lower left arrow feathers.
But the doubling should be visible on God and there are Die cracks on the rev that are not present on this coin.

Thanks for the additional information!

I suspect it was chemically treated and then a felt wheel or rotary brush was used on it.

Well, that sounds a bit better than "It has been harshly mechanically cleaned." I've never heard of a felt wheel before, but that sounds a lot less harsh and perhaps explains the lack of wire brush marks.

Yours is a beautiful coin with all the meat on the bones but I suspect that it's going to bug you as much as mine bugs me.

Wellllll... Maybe not. I think had I paid $200+ for it I'd definitely be peeved every time I looked at it. At $80, however, I'm thrilled to get such a sharply detailed example for a price I could afford. Remember -- this wasn't purchased as an investment and it's never going to be slabbed -- I just wanted a really sharp-looking example for my 7070 album. As you said, regardless of what has been done to it, it is still a beautiful coin.

In my mind a felt wheel or rotary brush is harshly mechanically cleaned. I also associate the rotary brush with whizzing & wondered if that was what nohope thought was the case with this coin. I normally think of wire brush marks on the coin when I hear harshly cleaned. I definitely wasn't seeing that here, but the surfaces of the field looked artificial to me. I can't tell if thats the picture, if someone used a dremel tool on them, or if someone used another method to smooth the surfaces.
