Hey, I got back from the coin store looking to buy an MS-64 1880 O Morgan dollar, It was sold But he had a Morgan junk bin that he sells for melt and I bought these for $27 each and one is in pretty nice condition. I'm think AU-MS60, Could you tell me the grades of both please? oh and I didn't get charged tax either I am very happy with these purchases and hope to get more and start a collection. You don't have an obverse picture for the second coin.

Unless you have some kind of top 100 VAM on them we cant see, I wouldnt think so. Atleast you got them close to melt, you may not have payed tax but with it you probably paid the price of melt. $24.8354 is the rounded silver value for the 1878-1921 silver Morgan dollar on March 14, 2012. It's a great start to a Morgan collection though!

May I ask what the pricetag would have been on the 1880-O? Just wondering

$50 for it. And Canadian bank notes I agree with you now, After looking at it with my loupe I can see wear that would take it from AU - EF easily.

I'd love to have an 1887s in F15, then! MAN I want that Morgan more now, but I don't got the cash at the moment.
