Wheat - What's the condition on those 10 SCs? How did you acquire them?

Nearly two years in the making.....the entire $2 8-subject Lucky Money sheets. From the K-B block through K-R block.  Love those consecutive 1923 SC Aces ! |

What does "Lucky money" refer to? Lucky Money is a series started by the BEP about 15 years ago. The central theme is almost all serial numbers start with 8888 and usually reference the 12 zodiac symbols associated with the Chinese Lunar Calendar. Year of the Horse, Year of the Rooster, Year of the Monkey, etc. Every denomination is used in one way or another. Back in 2009 they offered a $50 Lucky Money note called Dragon Boat, and this sold out very fast. And then again in 2014 they sold out quickly on the $100 note called Dragon Phoenix. Most Lucky Money are Aces. The BEP also did a limited series with 8-subject $5 notes called Prosperity Sheets. It was series 1995 $5 St.Louis District, blocks H-D through H-K. These also sold out very quickly. |

Added this to my 1928 Series FRN district collection last week. As many of you know, I really like these so-called "numerical" notes, which were the first small-size notes issued. The original print run was 376K, about average for the 12 districts.  |
