Series1976 New Member United States 39 Posts	Posted 07/24/2018 8:19 pm Bank of the State of South Carolina Five Dollars obsolete note. Serial Number 438 issued January 5th, 1861. The handwriting on reverse reads "Attest-H&B Attys". I'm still looking for information as to which specific County Treasurer cancelled this note but haven't come across any matches. Series1976 New Member United States 39 Posts	Posted 07/25/2018 9:39 pm Thanks jbuck, mtuma3 and Coinfrog, lately I've been finding my collection focus shifting gears from more modern notes to the South Carolina obsolete notes. I have to figure out which SC obsolete I'm going to buy next.
