Series1976 New Member United States 39 Posts	Posted 07/10/2018 10:55 pm 1862 Bank of the State of South Carolina One Dollar Obsolete Note issued April 10, 1862 Serial Number 57.. Illustrations include both the original South Carolina State House and the South Carolina seal which is unchanged to date for the most part. The note was issued in Charleston on April 10, 1862 and cancelled as official currency on April 30, 1873 by R.Johnston, Treasurer of Sumter County, South Carolina. Series1976 New Member United States 39 Posts	Posted 07/11/2018 12:24 pm Hi SteveInTampa, yes I bought it a week or so ago. I paid $45 for it which runs on par with the values listed on the Heritage Auctions site from previous auctions. The values ranged from $19 for a lower grade note to $282 for a single CU note.
