Latest addition to the Red Seal $2 set, which I'm determined to finish.

Thanks guys. The non-star $2 USNs are an affordable set to complete in high grade, with only a couple of gulpers. I think maybe BadDog is working on a set as well - anybody else?

Coinfrog,

Yes, I'm working on a set of small sized $2 LTNs as well. Still need those 28A and 28B gulpers that you mentioned They're available (as are all of these notes, there are no show stoppers), but I just haven't convinced myself I want to pay the prices for PMG 66s or back off of the grade a bit so that they're more affordable

Oh well, in the interim I still have a few others to pick up as well. Got this one last week at the Heritage auction (Heritage's photos as I don't have the note yet). Had to bid a bit higher than I wanted (still a reasonable price though) as someone else wanted it as well. For a common note, they just don't seem to come up for sale that often and dealer's tend to bring higher priced notes to shows.

That's a nice one. Coincidently, I picked up the star version of this last week as well (below). All of the 1953 series $2 notes, stars and regulars alike, are quite inexpensive in 66 in my opinion.

Not sure what I'll do about the big two either, but I'll probably step up in the end.

Forgot to up the intensity on this pic, color is normal.

Coinfrog,

It's a nice * note as well

Glad to see you got the reasonably priced note (as I would have expected from you) instead of the one priced more than 6x higher from that ebay seller in brooklyn who WAY overprices everything. I can't believe he sells anything, but I guess someone must be paying those prices or why list them that way

I know exactly who you mean, and I can't figure it out either. Every note, it's always the same.
