Quote: I can narrow it down to between July 1945 and July 1946 ( Julian/Vinson)
Pretty note, nice addition. -thanks "Steve" nice to know. Quote: Nice looking example - centering certainly suggests better than 63! I was thinking the same... (funny too because I was disappointed with my $5 which has a pretty high grade even though the centering is quite off (which was tough to discern by the small photo in the listing).

Nice $5 note Harley! I do like the 1928 series with the Fed numbers instead of the letters.

Another end-of-the auction pickup that had no other bidders - reeled it in for $95.

Thanks. I don't really collect these, but at that price, I couldn't say no.

If someone purchases a $5 note for $20 should they say they bought it for $20 or should they say they bought it for $15 ($20 minus $5 face value) ? Anyway, this is new to my collection.

Quote: f someone purchases a $5 note for $20 should they say they bought it for $20 or should they say they bought it for $15 ($20 minus $5 face value)? If said person does not intend to (gasp) spend it, then it's a $20 purchase in my book.
