I'm a coin collector, so no big expert on paper currency, but on Saturday, May 2nd I picked up an $8 continental, Sept. 26th, 1778. Bad condition, but one signature is legible- Joseph Walter.

Has anyone found a bill previously on an uncut sheet? That would be high serial numbers, probably on 1 dollar bills since they are often overlooked by bank strap hunters. I have never seen an uncut bill before, even though they look perfectly normal once cut and put into circulation. I'm just wondering, since the 1 dollar bill is the easiest to get in bulk to search through.

IndianGoldEagle- Do you know if it is common for the bottom left to be cut in that manner on the confederate 10's? Because I have one almost identical to that.

tbolts...to answer your question about the cutting of the $10 confederate note. There is no rhyme or reason to the way most of these notes were cut. You see some of it all. Quality control was not the strong suit during this era.
