And finally (what a day!) I was able to purchase this fine $2 1928 plain LT. Just to show that I don't collect only LGS notes...

What a great show of notes! I'll have to live through you guys for a while -- School is back in and I haven't had the free time to scour the Internet/eBay/LCS for any new pieces.

I like the LGS notes!
I've started with one LGS example of all denominations up $1000 ($5000 and $10000 are out of my range). Then I've begun to hunt $1000 LGS notes for a district set. Actually I try to get districts sets of the lower denoms $5, $10, $20, $50 and $100.

Your collection goals seem ambitious, which I like. Cannot imagine trying for LGS district sets of the lower denominations, if I read you correctly.

I collect small notes in 65PQ or better if possible (clearly not always) by type in all denominations and series up to $100 through 1953, and that is plenty to handle.

I look for scarce stars in small notes as well.

The only two small series I collect by district are the $100 FRNs of 1928 in 65PQ and the $20 FRBNs of 1929, same.
