I just received these three notes, all of which I'm very happy with! First is an1880 series $20 LTN, Fr#140. According to the information provided at the Heritage sale of the Flynn collection in 2008, this note is from a run of 50 or so uncirculated notes from the same pack. Next is an 1880 series $10 LTN, Fr#107. There are many examples of this Friedberg number available in gem grades - according to their pop report, PMG alone has graded 80 in 65EPQ and 65 in 66EPQ. This example has annotation on the back label of "Exceptional Paper Quality and Embossing". For those unfamiliar with the popular nickname for this note, if you flip the note upside down the eagle on the face sort of looks like the head of a donkey (I can't use the actual nickname here due to the language filters): Last is a 1902 Red Seal National Bank Note issued by The Fourth Street National Bank of Philadelphia, Fr#589. This bank was organized in 1886 and closed and consolidated with Franklin National Bank in 1926. The note is signed by cashier Rene John Clark (1864-1949) and president Richard Holt Rushton (1851-1910). This bank issued only large size notes, and the T&P census shows 12 1902 RS $5 notes with only one in a higher grade.

Dang nice notes! I gave up collecting currency as you are buying all the nice notes. With all the money I saved, I'm going to retire early

Very impressive notes indeed. I enjoy viewing the detailed vignettes that are often associated with these historic notes. Your $5 National Bank note has a spectacular 'Landing of the Pilgrims' engraving on the reverse side. I wonder if this is based on a prior work, or original art created just for this note?

with all the above feedback (except @hfjacindo - don't retire early!) Thanks guys, I really appreciate it! Currency, in particular large size notes and fractional notes, is taking much more of my collecting focus now. I still love my silver classic commemoratives and proof U.S. type coins, but it seems most of the rest of my coin collection is gradually fading into the background. Interests change, even when you're getting on up in years! Regarding the wonderful engraving on the back of the National Bank Note, I suspect that was an original engraving possibly based on a previous artwork though I've not found anything definite on that. It was actually first used on the original series $1 NBN prior to being used on 1902 series $5 notes. Looking online for "landing of the pilgrims" I've found some similar works by various artists, but not this exact one.

My first rainbow note in 58EPQ - far cheaper than an uncirculated example but still nice eye appeal in my mind. I just picked this up tonight, so it's the seller's pics.

Beautiful green and blue colors on your Rainbow. Just the one horizontal fold. Great note!
