Trying to put together all the stars in the 1935 Series $1 SCs. There's really only one tough one (don't have it yet). Here a couple of recent additions.

Cool stuff happened today.. Since I have been collecting I usually look for cool notes when I receive change, etc.. Today, in two diferent transactions from 2 different stores I got some cool notes as change back. For one I got my first Star note in circulation and also although they aren't special its cool that I got them as change, I got 3 consecutive gem circulated uncirculated 1 dollar bills. :) I was going to post my first post in the "circulation" thread but it is asking to post old notes found in circulation, not newer ones...

As everyone probably knows already, I don't purchase the prettiest notes. I go for the rarity! With that said, here's this rough legal tender star note!

Wheat - nice pick-up. Part of the value here relates to this being a one-year type note, and so the stars usually command a premium well above their rarity. If memory serves, over half of the surviving examples are either AU or CU.

My latest error note. I'm quite proud of this one.

Great error! I haven't seen anything quite that dramatic on such a recent series.

Picked this up from last night's Heritage auction. Didn't have the type so entered a ridiculously low bid; one never knows. And it is a star note just for fun! == ==

These from tonight's Lyn Knight auction are what I call "unattended" pickups. Put in some low proxy bids and then left to attend a special Easter program. What a surprise when I got home. == nice $50 LGS at an awesome price == great CU Star note == an outstanding RADAR note ==
