Probably, I just think this term is not widely used and some people are confused about it. If you search "bookend" in the Paper Money: US category on ebay I only find 6 results.

Yeah, I tried that in the U.S section as well. The term repeater was more popular.

I wouldn't consider this a "spender" 54dollarcoin: Quote: Spend it who cares ! I have noticed that on topics relating to Banknotes, you always post things like this. For example on this thread https://goccf.com/t/112231 you posted "Who Cares." If you don't collect banknotes, and you are not interested in the topic, that's perfectly fine. People collect different things, and don't all share the same interests. However, You don't have to keep posting comments like this, that are not related to the topic, and in my opinion very rude.

For a complete banknote dunce, this thread was actually very informative. I probably won't start collecting them anytime soon, but learning something new is never a bad thing, so thanks to all those who gave some insight into the serials!

We do deal in banknotes, thank you very much! Ones that really matter and have a notable collectors value to them. In reality a lot of 1937, 54 and later dreck needs to be put in ones account or used to buy neat collectors coins or banknotes. DO NOT SAVE low grade 1954 stuff it loses value every year you keep it!! The note pictured in this thread is just NOT collectable!! IMHO

Got this last year from an RBC atm, very crisp and almost uncirculated(i think ). Took it to Canadian coin and currency and they said its not worth anything more than $20. I've been holding on to it for now...

That's a three digit radar, the market is a bit soft right now, but you would definitely get more than face value. Based on the pictures, the note looks like it may have been folded in the middle. I agree, there are a lot of low grade notes out there, however you could have said this in your initial post and not have come off so rude. Not everyone is going to start with the highest grade notes they can find.

You should keep holding on to it. I'm certain you can get a little more than 20$ for it, but perhaps not from a dealer.

 I think ebay would be your best bet. Or if you are able to find a collector who is putting together a set of notes with that specific serial number, and sell it to them privately.

@54dollarcoin-
Not all collections are put together with profit as the main priority. Collecting is accumulating items that you are passionate about. Cost may be a factor with some collectors so they may want to collect commom 1954 banknotes just to have a collection of them. Of course they may not make a profit when it comes time to dispose of them, but who cares? Just because you can't see the reasoning behind their collecting common notes doesn't mean that they shouldn't.
I have a collection of empty Chinese cigarette boxes. Value=0 but they are interesting to me and they are of interest to others who have never seen them before. Just because they have no value is not a reason to discourage me from collecting them. The same goes with common notes. Not everything has to have a return of investment attached to it.
