Just found this one in a roll. Very minor Cud, but a Cud none-the-less. Listed as JNC-60D-2. Not the best condition, but it has been floating around in circulation for over 50 years. I'm posting this because my pic is much better than the pictures in my Cud books.

Ideal, despite the rim ding. Any letters in LIBERTY affected?

Worn dies and/or PMD? I don't think it is a second Cud.

Looks to be there was some significant die chips around those rim devices. This die was in need in of some serious repair, probably terminal die state. Nice find nonetheless, I would be proud to find something such as that!

I've seen this particular Cud on many 1960 Jeffersons. Its even got a nickname, the "Bar Zero."

Funny thing is I'm just finishing another 8 boxes of nickels searched and out of the maby 60 boxes or so I've searched I've yet to even find a Cud such as the one you've found. I'm almost certain they don't exist! ;)

Mitch, I've searched 65 boxes and found 3 Cuds. So, I average around 21 boxes for each Cud I find. Looks like you're a little below my average!

I had no clue how many of these are out there. They sell for lots of 10 for $5 and range greatly in size from tiny to larger like mine.

OK, now that I am looking for these, I think I'm going to find a bunch. Just found this in roll 2 of a new box.

These are not Cuds. These are die chips.

If a die chip goes to the edge of the coin, then it is a Cud, right?

If the rim line is still there, it is just a chip. On a Cud the outside portion breaks off the die. I guess kind of the difference from a nail in the tire and a blow out.
