I live in Minot, North Dakota right now. There is a Host-Fest and it does bring people from all over the world for this event. I have been here for two Host-Fests and I haven't heard anything about a " Wheat cent hoard". Nor a farmer who died and had a Wheat cent collection. Maybe its true, but I wouldn't believe everything you read.
Ty

p.s. If in fact it was true, I would assume a few of my coin collecting buddies would of brought it up during a conversation...

I don't trust this auction. There is NO reference to pennies dot com which is where these pics comes from.

That's because it's against ebay rules to link to it.

I noticed that the feed back they display in the add is mostly from 2005. I guess people haven't found too many good coins since then.

$70? IMO thats a little high priced- Is anyone here going to do this? I'd be curious if there decent coins in the lot to make it worth spending $70 on 300 wheat cents.
BTW What you guys think of the feedback thing where people are saying they found a 1909 VDB-S Wheat cent, or sold one of the coins for $500.

I have heard so many people on ebay that claim to have 55 gallon drums of wheats. It is possible but I spent years adding to my late great granpa's wheat hoard and only have two five gallon buckets full. And thats many years of collecting. It is possible to have that but highly unlikely. Proobably a stock photo. Like I saw a lady listed all the old currency she had and saw the very same glass container in a vegas. So maybe a stock photo. I went through all the two buckets I had and only one key date and was to old to prove it was 22 no mint mark. but mint marks are not hard to remove. But if has em for real thats pretty wild....i think not though..

Why would someone take the time to spend money on materials and build a fish tank for your coins. The whole add sounds like a bunch of lies.
