Hello, I've read many threads on this forum, but never bothered to sign up. :D

Anyways back on topic, I was back from college and decided to take a look at my collection. I'm more into coins, but have a very small paper currency collection (mostly from my father). I was comparing the regular $2 bill with my $2 seal and saw something curious. I know comparing the two isn't the same but I have no other $2 red seal to compare it with.

The seal is slightly more to the right than on the regular bill. This is easier to see if you look at the O in two in the background of the seal.

I'm sure it's nothing, but I am slightly curious. Sorry, if this might be a stupid question.

Thanks in advance,

Logan

PS. Sorry in advance for the pictures, they are from my phone because my scanner is at school

I am far from an expert on bills but just looking at the $1 in my pocket there is a variance in location of the seal from year to year and bill to bill
Rest in Peace

, numismaticsensations!

The position can vary in both directions. I just checked a couple dozen of both types, with seals as high as Washington, and from slightly left of the T to barely left of the W.

No premium until the serial is into the top image or the seal outside the word TWO.

Very nice notes. The seal isn't off far enough to make any premium.

Good eyes for noticing it though. It pays to look over in detail with what you have, because you never know when you'll find a new variety or an error.
