Haven't seen people talking about this one much. But it is "temporarily out of stock" at the mint, as well:

Are people hoarding every Titanic coin that RCM made? Don't know the final mintage of this one yet, but Canada Post is serializing 10,000 covers with this coin:

I think Canada's legitimate link to the Titanic tragedy is part of the reason why the RCM's Titanic products have been such strong sellers. I don't think buying a Titanic commemorative coin from a South Pacific island nation has the same relevance for some folks.

Also, the RCM's designs are strong, especially for the silver $10.00 and silver-plated $0.50 coins (Thanks Yves Bérubé!); they're also less gimmicky than most of the other Titanic commemoratives out there.

The RCM's coins are also the most reasonably priced of the Titanic commemorative coins available -- this has certainly helped sales for those looking for just one or two coins to purchase.

It will be interesting to watch the prices attached to the many limited edition coins being released for the Titanic: Niue, 2229 coins; Tuvalu, 5000 coins; Cook Islands, 1912 coins; Fiji, 750 coins. They're all over $100 at this point (with the Fiji pieces already selling for over $750), time will tell if they continue to rise and stabilize or settle in at current levels.

BTW: Took a look at the Canada Post PNC -- it looks rather nice!

I purchased a few of the 50 cent coins and a $10 coin but was going to skip the quarter mostly because of the unlimited mintage. However, Canada Post's presentation nudge me into placing an order.

IMHO, the addition of a stamp as well as the limit of 10,000 covers makes the CP preferable over the RCM.

I agree. Ordered one of those as well along with some stamp varieties for my Canadian stamp collection.

By the time I'm done, I'll have enough Titanic coin and stamp collectibles to sink a ship!

Thanks for the comments! As of myself, I try hard not to get too many NCLTs. So I only ordered the 50 cents copper. If I see this cover at a post office, assuming they made it to there, I might get one. :)
