I originally thought this coin was a 1970 s small date, but after taking pictures I am sure it is the large date. But while looking at the reverse I noticed that the designers initials FG were not there. Is this common? Is this worth anything?

Probably no premium associated with this one. I have an 83 and 94 with no FG too. The only one that I know carries a premium is the 1969-D (no FG)..and that is only because it is in the CPG. If you can create a market, they will pay

The RDV-002 had a pitify small and smudgy FG. That combined with Grease Fill and some die wear would account for not seeing it. I don't know of any reverses that simply did not have one.
