I went to place another order with Provident when I saw that they are charging $25 for shipping. Are big leap from the $12 they were charging last week and they use to even have a special on Weekend shipping at $6. I for one will not pay $25 for shipping on a roll of eagles.

Has anyone else noticed the increase?

Wow TBK, I am surprised by that, as that was the one thing keeping them competing with APMEX an what not in my mind....

Their selection is often thin or out of stock, so they are losing stock with me fast....

Can one use pay-pal to pay at Provident, or debit?

I am sure that seems like dumb question, but it has been a long time since I have bought from them, and I usually pay via one of the two above? Not that it matters, as I like you TBK will not be giving them that extra cash just for the principal of it. Not that 12 bucks is gonna break me, or you or others either way I figure, but why do that when one can even get better deals on ebay via free shipping....

It does not happen often, but I have seen the new Lunar dragon 5 oz. 2nd series, sell on ebay FOR LESS, then what they list at Provident for. I saw one end at $275 an was kickin myself for not grabbing it a week or two back, as it was listing at like 335 plus 12 shipping at Provident at the time....

As of this evening, March 24, 2012, the Provident FAQ shows the following shipping tiers:

Order Sub-Total Shipping Rate
$0-$99.99 $5.95
$100-$499.99 $8.95
$500-$1,999.99 $11.95
$2,000-$4,999.99 $16.95
$5,000 + $24.95

Could it have just been a mistake, maybe?

Regardless a roll of ASEs shouldn't cost you $25 for shipping from this vendor.

I bought 7 2012 Chinese silver Pandas and 3 miscellaneous 1oz silver rounds just for the heck of it from Provident just this past week and the shipping was the usual $8.95 for the order. I am puzzled as to how you came up with $25 for domestic shipping on a roll of ASEs, that is really strange, unless you selected the pay by credit card option.

Oh LOL I guess I should really take the $6k gold type set out of my cart. Shipping for a tube is now $11.95 again. Thanks for helping me solve my dumb *** Edited by Staff | The bad word filter is in place for a reason. Bypassing the filter and making the intended word obvious anyway is completely unacceptable. *** problem. Mods please lock this topic
