Here are 3 that just got back, I still have 3 partial collar's that should be in this coming week and 87 odds and ends. I was thinking of CAC'ing this group to see where they fall. Opinions ?

CAC is a secondary grading company. They confirm a given grade and place a green tag on the holder if they feel it is in the top 10% of a given grade. Sometimes when they feel it is under graded the place a Gold or bronze tag.

On higher value coins most grading companies are conservative compared to a more common year and mint mark of the same given coin type. If you look at the "2" MS-62 coins I currently have 10 1880 P Morgans in MS-63 grade that are equal too or not as nice as the one I posted. But this one is a Vam-6 Big dollar coin in MS so the grading curve is different. Not that that's right it is just the way it is.

Ohh Wow , (i gota check that stuff out now lol CAC , Vam6 )

My opinion now knowing alil, I would send'em in .. That Vam-6 looks to be Green label/or under graded label worthy .... I like the chances on the set.. and Knowing you have some to compare the 1880 to sounds promising -- but again I dont know what it will cost you to submit them and or the population of these ..

But Best of luck if you do .. I think you have a good shot with this group ..!

My opinion? Don't bother with the VAM-6, but send the other two. The VAM-1A is a lock unless the fields are a whole lot skritchier than they look, and the 1880 looks like a big-end 66 to me. Maybe not a 67, but a strong 66 assuming the reverse is typically cool.

Can I see the reverse of the 1A? Is it the double or the single? Either way, that's one of the "stupid cool" VAMs.
Rest in Peace

I guess you plan on flipping these if you are considering CAC'n them? Does a CAC bean lock them into the condition they are slabbed or does it create a premium value?
All three are very nice examples for what they are. I sure love those "E" clashes. Especially an 86 O in MS condition.
Nice coins!

I have a few 1880 P Morgans in MS-66 so I would sell one, most likely not this one. The 1886 O not right now as well as the Vam-6. Here are the photos of the rev of the 1880 P and the reverse of the 1886 O and the reverse of the other 1886 O I have. 1 is the single clash and the other is the double clash.
