Any help on what these might be worth, even a rough estimate would be extremely helpful. Coins read - 1916 and 14K. I don't have the weight on them right now trying to figure out how I can get that as well. Not sure if these are a set weight already that somebody here might know, thanks in advance any info greatly appreciated !

When ever I see these coins .. I always look to see if there is a mint mark.
If there is a mint mark, it would be under the horses hooves.

If there is not a "C" .. with out looking it up .. I would say they would be worth
melt value. And with out a reference .. for size .. I can not tell if they are
sovereign or half sovereign

The coins read 14K? Sounds like a jeweler's copy to me.

With the outbreak of WW1 gold coins were losing their role as circulating coins (being replaced with notes) and becoming bullion. Many (non-Commonwealth mints) coins dated 1916 and 1917 were melted down, some people filled in the voids with (high end) copies. If it is indeed a jeweler's copy it would be just bullion value.

And welcome to the forum!

looks like there is no mint mark so these are basically real gold replicas? so what do you think my best bet would be to sell, ebay? I thought about putting them up but I really have no way of getting their weight and not sure it that would be a necessity to sell them.

if its melt value would I be stupid to send them in to one of the gold buying sites that pay 80%-90% of melt?
