Haha I did some digging in the junk bins I snagged a 1962 Franklin with light cameo that I'm thinking about sending out for grading.

Is wearing a backpack really that much of a problem? I don't war them, or too often see others with them, but I often see laptop style satchels which seem to be a good idea because you can easily keep your inventory on you and in front of your body as well.

Looks like you had a great time and congratulations on some nice coins! Your next show should be a breeze now ;) I generally take a laptop bag with me to put my inventory in. Great thing to have just don't let it leave your sight, and keep it on you at all times. You are amongst great people at coin shows but, the last one I attended, the police arrested a guy for stealing coins when the dealer had his back turned so, the rif raf does get in.

One of the things I forgot in my list of items for a coin show. I usually carry a small camera type bag. One with many little pockets so I can put coins in one, any info in others, magnifying glasses in others, etc. Amazing how many times people have borrowed a magnifying glass from me.

My 8 year old daughter is into coin collection and roll searching. I always take her to shows with me. You would be amazed at the deals we get because of her age. At the last show we had 1 dealer sell her 12 different Indian head pennies for $5 and none of them were culls.

We need young collectors to continue the hobby, so it is no surprise to me that dealers will give a young person a deal.

Not a rare thing. I've seen many dealers give a coin to a young kid free. I've seen dealers give kids Folders free also. Way, way back when my Son was a little kid I used to love taking him to flea markets, coin shows, camera shows, etc. He would almost always come home with something and free.

While I was talking to the dealers, someone asked about a ASE. The dealer said that he was saving it to give out to a kid for free! Even being in my mid 20s, all the guys wanted me to join their coin club (which I am going to do) because they want young people to pass the knowledge onto. I cant wait for the first meeting
