I have a question also about mint errors. How are the bow-ties, and other major clips and errors getting out of the mint? One guy told me a long time ago, that a friend who worked at the S.F. mint sold him a bag of major errors.
Isn't this illegal? How do the major error coins get into the mainstream?
Thank you.

People find them in bags and rolls. I don't think the mint employees are supposed to take them out of the mint, but I could be wrong...8D]
