As some you may know from reading the new acquisitions thread, I recently completed my Peace dollar Collection that I started in 1991.
That hole in the Dansco album has been bothering me for years.
Any comments on this coin's grade would be welcomed, the seller graded it as VF/XF.
As always, my photos taken with my USB Microscope.

AU53? It's hard to say due to the lighting and focus. Based on the pictures I'm thinking there's more hair and feather detail than an XF is allowed.

Congrats on completing your set. (: That's a milestone worth celebrating, especially after 21 years.

Could you post a closeup of the date for me as well as a closeup of the field between Lady Liberty's nose and the L?

I'd go XF45. Has the coin been cleaned? The color on the date side is odd, might be the photo though.

@wvparadox - Thanks and whew! The first images made the date look far too thin. For a moment I thought that it could have been a counterfeit, dreading to have to say, "I'm sorry but you haven't completed your set yet." Thank goodness that isn't the apparent case. :-)

However, these additional pictures have confirmed that this coin has been cleaned. There are lots of buff marks, but, given the outlines, the strike looks like it was originally nice and strong.

We're probably looking at a grade of "XF details" due to the cleaning, though.
