Came across an ebay listing of a Lincoln Cent that I have no clue as to how this could have happened at the mint but it doesn't look like it was damaged outside the mint.Any thoughts on this one

Looks like a brockage to me. Something else interesting is going on there, though; would love to hear what Mike Diamond has to say.

If that is from a torch then there was a lot of oxygen being used, lol!

I contacted the seller and he said it weigh's 3 grams.In my younger days I've put a torch to Lincolns and never got results like this

Looks like it is struck through a die cap.

It looks like a generic capped die strike. Either struck through a late-stage die cap or a mid-stage uniface die cap.
Error coin writer and researcher.
