So I got this coin:
https://goccf.com/t/114324
If I want to find out the current value of the coin, I could look it up om ebay, right? The problem is, none of the coins for sale is of my grade, they are almost all way worse.

How reliant are the numismedia and PCGS price guides?

One way to find out the true current value is to actually put it up for sale on ebay, but since I don't want to sell it...

Are there some sort of auction search engine tosearch for the more exclusive coin auctions and what they have sold in the past?

thanks

Well in my opinion is the the Red Book of united state coins is one of the best ways to find out what your coin is worth. But some of there prices are a little high.it all depends on what the buyer wants to pay.

Heritage Auctions recently (Jan 2012) sold three Barber quarters for: F-12 $276.00, F-15 $290.00, XF-40 env. dmg.-$661.25

To look up completed auctions on ebay, click on advanced search at top of page, on next page, fill in your search parameters, and then check 'completed listings' box

There are several resources for finding values. ebay, Heritage and Teletrade completed auctions. Numismedia gives good prices too.

Ebay, Teletrade, Heritage, Numismedia all seem to be good price guides for slabbed coins. What about a good online source for raw coins?
