also boxes of BWR, I have found impaired proofs, and painted/stickered coins. Once, I even found gold plated quarters, and English 2 pence coins.

UPDATE - I got my previous box of BWR on 12/10, and this was what I posted about its makeup.

Quote:
Out of 1000 coins:
SBA 91
SAC 201
Pres 703 + 3 impaired proofs + 1 painted Franklin Pierce
& 1 wrong coin. Someone had mistaken a gold plated Statehood Quarter for a Golden Dollar

I spent 2 dollar coins and 5 half dollars at bowling, then 5 dollars and 1 half at the club. I also spent 1 dollar at Rite Aid. This is $11 total. I had another interesting conversion with one of my bowling buddies about how I am not going to change the country by spending this "funny money".

$80,862 to go.

I spent 3 dollar coins and 1 half dollar for bus fare and 1 dollar for some loose tea. I didn't want to get crummy dollar bills back in change. Then I had an interesting discussion with the person behind the counter about dollar coins. She was very receptive. I really do think most people would readily accept dollar coins if it was the only option. JMHO.

$80,857.50 to go.
