$3 in Ikes on Saturday. One JFK yesterday.
$70264 remains in front of us.
Note: I purchased $200 worth of JFKs recently, and plan to continue doing my part here. Most of them will have my counterstamp before release.

Two JFKs this morning at a coffee shop for coffee. The cashier, a Japanese woman, seemed genuinely interested in them so I gave her a brief history of the coin. She said it was the first time she'd ever seen them and remarked, "I might keep these. Maybe in 10 years they'll be worth something". I didn't have the heart to tell her they'd most likely still be only worth $1.00.
Also, while visiting my brother's house, I gave him $2 in JFKs and $3 in dollar coins to tip an electrician who came to do some work (they didn't have any small bills). On the way to guy's van to give him the money, my brother fumbled the coins into the grass and into the street. It was almost dark and he wasn't sure how many he managed to pick up so I'm going to write off those coins in interests of keeping our tally as accurate as possible.
In summary:
$1.00 in JFKs
$70,092 to go.
