I spent 1 golden dollar along with a bunch of two's at the bar across the street after work
2 dollar coins and 2 half dollars for turnpike tolls
4 dollar coins at a coin auction for snacks
1 dollar coin at Chinese restaurant
12 dollar coins at grocery store

I did something this week that I have never done before. I spent all 12 dollar coins at the grocery store in one trip. I was counting them out and I held out my hand for the cashier. I guess she was not watching me count the coins because she dropped every one of them on the conveyor belt. It was so funny.

$1.50 halves at lunch, Cashier mildly piqued with interest, friend I dined with said with a smile: "Get outta here with your weird coins!"
$2.50 in 2000 D Sacagaweas fresh from a mint roll and a half for afternoon coffee, three girls behind the counter. One gushed with the wonder that only a new stimulus could provide, another recognized me from yesterday.
