Your Bryan Dollar is very cool. Were these made by pro-Bryan or anti-Bryan campaigners? From what I know of Bryan, his goal was to support or mandate the free coinage of silver, essentially to create inflation. This was, of course vehemently opposed by those supporting a strong gold standard.

Thanks for sharing this great piece of history.

1896 Bryan Dollar, HK-780, Zerbe-5. Silver. Made by Gorham Manufacturing Co. An educational variety that demonstrates the weight and diameter of a standard silver dollar relative to the weight and diameter of a silver coin equivalent in bullion value to a gold dollar.
