I found this today. It is on a 1999-P Jefferson nickel. The first image is of the top of Jefferson's hair and the second is below the steps of Monticello. My first guess is machine doubling

Flat shelf like. Machine Doubling on under the steps. Head, I don't see what we should see there?

Hi coop: Thanks for the confirmation on the Machine Doubling. As for the obverse, I thought I was seeing some doubling in the top of the hair, but on second look... I can no longer see what I thought I saw.
