Now that I have completed my mint state set of Canada silver dollars (1935-1967), my next project is to complete my Canadian major type set in mint state.
This is going to take a while, since those Victoria coins can get pretty pricey (Edward too!)

I find it a little bit sad when I complete a set but when I start on a new numismatic adventure by starting a new project all the fun of the hunt begins again
Good luck with your new endeavour

Get into a series that is impossible to complete.
Ancients or World coins are examples of that.
That is what I did 40 years ago.

I'll start with the Vicky 50¢ and go from there.
They aren't gonna get any cheaper, IMO, so I may as well get in while the getting is good!
I'd like to find a solid ICCS MS coin - my budget probably won't allow anything higher than MS62.
I'm afraid I won't be buying many coins this year!

You think a mint state Vicky half dollar sells for $200,000.00!?!?!?
The latest Charlton has an MS60 1872 at $4500.00.

I wish I had the luxury of collecting mint states. I am just snatching up one of each year for all denominations, 1936 and older makes a pretty high jump in price even for low grades. Its a constant battle.
