I was thinking about maybe getting back into adding one decent gold coin a month or two MAYBE, an I really like these rooster francs an the gold content is right up my alley. As I can't really afford much larger, and they have 0.1867 oz. gold content at 90%, something I have been tossing around lately....

My silver stash is growin nicely, maybe not so much in raw oz., but in high quality, so why not toss a little gold back in the mix, esp if it were to maybe fall down to 1400 or so, maybe lower who knows as a it will pullback sometime this year to those numbers, maybe around Christmas as usual when we are all refocused on other things, as it did last year....

I know there must be a better deal out there on these then the 335 asking price plus the high dollar shipping APMEX charges. So what 356 total best price I can find on these which were minted 1899-1914....

I like these roosters as they are turn of the 19th century old gold coins, an again not too big, but not to small like a gold dime or less....

Do you have an account with that thing? The one that the kids use? Facesmack or book or something like that?

Anyways, if you "like" APMEX page, they have a special on these coins, $10 over spot, currently $319.xx Looks to be the same coin but cheaper.

Only available to facebook people that like APMEX page: France (1852-1870) 20 Francs Gold Napoleon III (EF/AU) AGW .1867

No problem I like the design and price as well. I've been mainly collecting 5 gram bars. Have a few perths and a Pamp. But these coins would be right up my alley, plus they have a bit of history. Too bad I bought a bunch of pandas lately.

One thing to try is ask your local dealer to ask around if anyone has them.

I know my dealer can get them when needed and they sell for a tad over spot.
