I was doing some work at the local caravan park this week. When I went in to leave the invoice, I noticed the owner had a basket of $1.00 coins on the table.
He had just emptied the coin boxes from the washing machines in the laundry. Naturally I offered to count and bag them for him. There was $839.
Scored at least two good ones of every circulation year, including commemoratives 9More of many years). Plus a 2008 rabbit ears.
He has offered to let me know every time he clears the machines so I can have first crack at them.

Next stop, the local laundromat. I don't know if they have coins or tokens -hopefully coins. I know the owner of that place too.

Worth checking for similar in your location, especially if you live in a small town.

Gives new meaning to the terms "money laundering" and "drier coin"

On a more serious note, congratulations on your finds and such an innovative source for noodling. Certainly sounds like a worthwhile proposition for dollar coins - at least you know they're guaranteed wild. Obviously you have managed to establish a sufficient relationship that he trusts you with his money, or is that part of the small town deal?
