General question about grading: If a coin is pulled from a proof set and placed in a holder and the person that removes the coin is careful not to damage the coin in the process wouldn't it be safe to assume that the coin would grade at least an MS-60?

I am very new to the grading piece of the hobby as most all of my collecting was done when I was younger and just pulling stuff out of circulation. Thanks for all of the help.

Yes it should but there is a different type of listing for proof coins, PR or PF. Most modern proofs are going to be much better than pr 60 most will be pr 68 and better.

OK, I will bite. What is the distinction between PR and PF? I checked the glossary and didn't see anything other than the PR for "Proof". Thanks again.
