Wait.. that's a WAM? ARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH.. I thought it was farther apart to be a WAM. So they just don't have to be touching? I'm going to go drown myself if that's the case. I have seen 3 of those, re-wrapped them and sent them back into the wild. Now I need to go unwrap the 5000 pennies I wrapped last night and go through them all to verify I didn't see one in THAT batch... Blech.

Quote:Wait.. that's a WAM? The key diagnostic is actually the location of the designer initials FG relative to the Lincoln Memorial. As well documented in jprine excellent detail photo ... FG is close to the memorial on a WAM ... and far from the Memorial on a CAM. The relative spacing between AM can and will vary based upon die state ... but the designer initials location remains unchanged. Grab a few MS examples of WAM and CAM from their normal production years ... and educate yourself to observe for the designer initials. David

Nice find! I moved your topic to the 'Modern US Variety & Error Coins' forum. I think what you found is more important than where you found it.

That is a nice find. Most WAMs you find after 12 t0 14 years of circulation are pretty beat up. It is great when you can find one still looking that good.
