I have been to Vegas before but I have never really looked for any coin dealers or coin shops. I will have some free time in Vegas in the next few weeks and would like to check some out. I want to avoid pawn shops. Let me know if you have some suggestions for some coin shops to check out (on or very near the main strip would be preferable, basically need somerthing within a short walk of the strip). Thanks!

I happen to know some good friends who live in Vegas.

I stayed with them in 2008, and took some time to troll around the coin shops. I was disapointed, the prices were too high in comparison with what I was familiar with in Sydney. Perhaps my Aussie accent stood out a mile, and they thought they saw a tourist coming.

Mind you, I was looking for ancients in the $1000 price range.

I won't be looking for any coins in the $1000 range anytime soon. I was a little worried that they may be a bit on the high side due to being in Vegas and the high rollers etc...but I thought there would be some nice down to earth coin shops in town too (those are the ones I am seeking out).

I would still make my way to "Pawn Stars" shop, even if it was just to say that I have been there....
If you do go, say hi to Rick and Chumbly for me please. Gracias

Hey SpaceAce, since you are going to Vegas and have time to kill, please go to all the casinos there and ask for all the money I left there in the past.

Thanks.

sure thing cajunlady I'll tell them you were the one using Ike dollars for chips and that should narrow it down!

Also, Freedom, I ahve been the Gold and Silver pawn with Rick and cory and chumly etc. I enjoy that show. It was cool to see (I have not been since they expanded) but the coins were limited and overpriced. Still cool to look around though.
