Hi everyone I was just wondering if someone could tell me if it looks like a real or a fake and help me identify it. Thanks!

A quick look on VCOINS shows this to be from Syracuse, 5th democracy, 214 - 212 BC.

Syracuse had coins with Poseidon and a Trident reverse, but I think this one might be

Halicarnassus, Caria, c. 125 - 88 B.C. SG 4881 Poseidon right / Trident with dolphins between prongs, ALIKA in left field..........not sure whats in the right field yet.

Doucet--good job narrowing down this coin! I see ALIKA(R), not sure about the other side.
I have a similar coin from Syracuse, but overall it's a different style.

Hi Max L

I've got one of these from Macedonia, c185-168 BC, and mine has the greek equivalent of "MAKEDON..ON" down either side. I agree with Doucet; I think it's from Halicarnassus, with the right field more than likely containing the remaining greek letters for "Halicarnassus" with was begun in the left field. Nice coin!
