I have a Rhodesia & Nyasaland banknote dated 2nd of December 1960. I haven't seen that date anywhere and am wondering if it means anything special about it.
The only piece of information I could find is that this is P-21b in the standard catalog and the date of it is 28.11.1960-1.2.1961. I couldn't tell you if these are issue dates though or how many different dates on notes are within that range. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
IMO the notes issued by Rhodesia and Nyasaland are beautiful.
In the SCWPM if there are more than 4 issue dates for a series, the date range of the first and last will be given. The date on this note falls within the range given in teh catalog.
Ok, thanks, so the value isn't different from one date to another...and what would be the quality of this note? Can someone tell me just by looking at it.. (here's the back of the note)
The value in the catalog rarely reflects the actual market value of a note. It is possible that some dates have a higher market value than others. It is hard to determine however since these notes are so scarce. I agree with almingbg, this is VG or F.
