I believe your coin to be Maximinus I Denarius, RIC 22. 236-238 AD. IMP MAXIMINVS PIVS AVG GERM, laureate, draped & cuirassed bust right / VICTORIA AVG, Victory advancing right bearing wreath & palm.

I was thinking it looks most like RIC16. The only difference I can see is the beard on this one goes down further.

Excellent detail, really nice coin. My reference has it as RIC 16.

My first thought was RIC 16, but looking at the coin, I think RIC 22 looks more like it. I guess since you have it in hand you can tell better then I can from an image:

RIC 22 requires the obverse legend lacking IMP and ending in GERM so the OP coin is RIC 16. RIC does not care about chin length but the later GERM coins do tend to have more chin.

According to the dealers on Vcoins, this coin runs in value from approx $90 to $240. Take a look at what is for sale on Vcoins:

Actually, when you compare the condition to those for sale on Vcoins, yours is in above average, so I think you did very well. Congrats
